Why Choose CCS?
We do more than just educate; we train in a Christian worldview.
At Community Christian School, we believe that superior academics are in harmony with a vibrant spiritual life. We are committed to providing a faith-based learning experience for students in Baraboo and its surrounding communities. With a strong emphasis on academic excellence, character development, and spiritual growth, the school nurtures an environment where students can thrive intellectually, morally, and emotionally.
We are here to support local churches in making disciples of Jesus Christ, and to support Christian families in raising godly children.
Our goal at CCS is to partner with parents in the development of their child’s education and their child’s relationship with Jesus Christ. This is why we integrate the Bible’s teachings into all of our classes. In addition to daily Bible classes, our students participate in weekly chapels, and quarterly service projects.
What we are doing at Community Christian School is so much more than mere education: it is training for a life of Christian service.
Christ-Centered Education
Community Christian School of Baraboo is deeply rooted in its commitment to Christian principles and encourages students to develop a personal relationship with God and live out their faith in practical ways. Through regular chapel services, Bible studies, and a Christ-centered curriculum, we provide students with the tools and guidance necessary to grow spiritually and become responsible, compassionate members of society.
In all its levels, programs, and teaching, Community Christian School seeks to:
Teach all subjects as parts of an integrated whole with the Scriptures at the center (II Timothy 3:16-17);
Provide a clear model of the biblical Christian life through our staff and board (Matthew 22:37-40);
Encourage every student to begin and develop his relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20, Matthew 19:13-15).
Multi-Grade Classrooms
Multi-grade classrooms offer numerous benefits for students.
Younger students are introduced to advanced concepts early through exposure to lessons taught to older peers.
Older students reinforce and build upon prior learning, strengthening critical thinking skills.
As new ideas are explored, all students deepen their understanding and can progress more quickly.
These classrooms also enable teachers to tailor instruction to each child’s individual needs, helping them reach their full potential. Beyond academics, multi-grade settings foster social growth—older students develop leadership skills, while younger ones mature through interaction with older classmates.
Classically-inspired Christ-centered Education
CCS embraces a Christian educational model, a teaching methodology that uses an integrated biblical worldview curriculum to train students to become critical thinkers and self-learners.
Student Programs
CCS offers several exciting programs for students, including yearbook, student council, archery, forensics, music, art, physical education, weekly chapels, class field trips, and service projects. Sixth through eighth grade students can play basketball on the extra-curricular CCS Royals basketball team. Sixth through twelfth grade students can play intramural volleyball.

Doctrinal Statement
God: We believe in the existence of one God as a personal spiritual being who exists in three equal but distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Bible: We believe the Bible to be living, divinely-inspired, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God. It directs us in all of our relationships and activities; therefore, it guides us in the education of our children.
Creation: We believe that the creation of the universe and mankind was a uniquely designed act of God, and that man was created in the image and likeness of God.
Sin: We believe that all mankind has fallen into sin and is in need of the salvation which God, in grace, has provided through the death of his one and only Son, Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, is the son of God, lived a sinless life, died on a cross for the sins of all people, rose from the dead, and that belief in Him and what he has done for us is the only way to salvation.
