Christy Putman

7th and 8th Grade Teacher

Christy Putman is the middle school teacher at CCS for grades 7 and 8.  She has a B.A. degree in Middle Childhood and Early Adolescence Education and Mathematics.  She attended UW-Stevens Point and Edgewood College of Madison.  She taught children with special needs for ten years before returning to college to complete her regular education degree. She then taught in several public schools before coming to CCS to volunteer teach the upper level literature for the first year and then became the full time middle school teacher for grades 6th through 8th in 2010. She currently teaches Bible, math, science, world history and geography, grammar and literature for the 7th and 8th grade class.

Christy’s desire for her students is to build life-long learners that know God and develop a biblical worldview so they can be discerning young adults in our ever changing world.

Christy is a mother and step-mother of five children and grandmother of two boys.  Her youngest attended from 3rd through 12th grade, graduating in 2020.  She and her husband, Jason Putman, are members of Walnut Hill Bible Church in Baraboo. 

Christy enjoys cooking, walking her dog, bargain shopping, and traveling to historical places throughout the US.  She also enjoys reading young adult novels, writing curriculum and spending time outside in the spring summer and fall months.
